I Don’t Want To See A Vacant Box
February 6, 2008I understand that for most of you without a WordPress account when you comment on my site, you’ll be reflected as blank box which doesn’t really look good. In fact I would think it’s kinda lame and would prefer not to have any pictures at all!
However, the picture thingy is not of WordPress actually. If you commented before you would see that you are required to enter your name and email address before posting a comment.
Do you know that with just your email address, you can have any image you want to be shown beside your comment?
Yup it’s possible to see Alex’s comment and his avatar image on my blog. And also Sandy’s recent comment.
How?
All you need is:
1. Valid Email Address
2. Password
3. Picture
Just go to the Gravatar (Globally Recognized Avatar). Click on Sign-up Now! and key in your email address. Once you’ve received an activation email you will be able to set a password and an image for that particular email address.
And voila! You can comment on my posts and have your image there too. You can check on my comment on a previous post. I used my Gmail account to sign-up for the Gravatar.
Try it! It’s super easy and makes the commenting a little bit personal and fun!
