MUSIC: Someday, Someday Thirsty Merc

Kingdom Of Comfort

After a few weeks of waiting, I finally have the latest CD from Delirious? :D .The CD contains 12 tracks, there are two additional tracks available for download at their website.  The CD came with 4 postcards and a booklet. I must confess that I just wanted the postcards that’s why I ordered it :D .

I haven’t really listened to the whole CD but I have listened to How Sweet The Name the most number of times, maybe because the lyrics mean so much to me:

What would I have become
If you’d never stopped to pull me through
What would this life had done
If you’d never whispered liberty
I heard you sing so sweetly a song of love

Jesus how sweet the name
The name that saves
Jesus how sweet the sound
The sound of grace
The sound of praise
The sound that saves

So many songs I’ve sung
But there’s none more beautiful than you
And here I’ve found myself
So I’m happy to be lost in you
I hear you sing so sweetly, a song called love

Every soul needs a saviour

Not So New Phone

Yesterday I upgraded my plan for two years, I wasn’t really looking in to buying a phone, but since there was an offset voucher I just took whatever they had that was on FREE.

I chose it because it was the only one that had 3G capabilities (what’s the use of a 3G plan if you don’t have a 3G phone?), it syncs with Vista and it was better looking than the Nokia that they also suggested. The cons? It’s in Ice White, I have never liked white devices, I like to man handle my things, so white will definitely not look good in the future.

What else?

It’s super sensitive, ergo opening stuff I didn’t mean to open, and what’s more, the GPRS/HSDPA activaton is conveniently located on the left soft key. Data charges have never been appealing to me, especially now that I am jobless.

But overall, the plus factors trump over the cons, and well, after almost two years I now have a handphone I can call my own. Let’s see previously I used, Nokia 2100, Nokia  – I forgot but it was the clamshell one, Xda Mini, Xda Atom, Xda Atom Life, Sony Ericsson – my brother’s phone until he was in NS, and now a Samsung. Phones which I had (and will use) for an extended period of time.

Vision Board

Last Saturday, during cellgroup, I was reminded of my dreams and visions pre-GD (Great Displacement). Unlike the previous week, where God admonished me in a not so very gentle fashion, I SAW, no impressions, no still small voice, just God’s TV streaming through. The fact that the next day, during Pastor Tan’s sermon he talked about seeing and owning the vision really gave me goose bumps! Aside from becoming hungry for God’s Word and His presence in my life, I needed to remember and be reminded of what I’m living for. If words are not enough, I needed to see my visions and dreams day in and day out.

Enter the vision board.

Most people have heard of it from The Secret or other life coaching seminars/consultations (a fact I now know because I googled vision board while typing this post). And I thought I had an original idea :D .

Anyway, I have been prompted strongly to start my faith-filled vision board. Mine is currently blank except for a few stuff my pen pals gave me. I will need to rummage through my magazine cut outs, quotes notebooks and my Bible for images, words of encouragement and verses that support my vision.

I am quite excited about it!

I used a cork board because a poster board will be lost in the bedroom. And a cork board is more versatile and cheaper than a magnetic board. I actually preferred a magnetic board, or a really big piece of plexiglass (like those used in Numb3rs and House) to stick stuff and write on. I really don’t want to use a push pin, I still need to figure out how to adhere stuff to it and still be reusable.

I hope this is a start of a beautiful, productive and blessed week!
