MUSIC: Don’t Wake Me Up, The Hush Sound

Before we go to the serious part, I would like to say a big thank you to EVANN for helping me get a sleeping bag at the super last minute. Thanks so much dear! You’re so surprising, I texted a lot of people but you were like, the most efficient of them all! Because of you, I don’t need to worry about sleeping on the floor for two nights.

OK, so I keep on consuming without really creating, especially writing. I have not been formally writing except for tiny scraps on my  Idea Book, ideas which will not germinate unless I start scratching at it.

I used to churn out a story every two weeks when I was in primary school, now it’s not that I don’t have the time. A mix of laziness and embarrassment.

My problem is that people have told me I can write. I just don’t have that confidence yet.

If I really want to do something, I should do it. So, now, it’s 23 Poems By August 20, yes, it’s true. I want to celebrate with poetry and give my creativity another boost. I will need to draw up all the rules and will post about it soon!

I have been to a lot of camps before, basically on focused group and planning for the academic year projects (the Reproductive Health org) or on writing/Journalism.

I’ve been to only one church camp, as far as I can remember. Last year, I wasn’t able to go for the Breakaway Camp because of work constraints.

I’m excited about camp, encountering God mostly. I hope I don’t get any fainting spells…that will be too embarrassing. Must try to do some Pilates now…

Oh yeah, Evann and I are in Xiao Lii’s group, Zebulun. Today we’ll be meeting up to plan for the camp drama and group cheer.

And I hope Debbie gets well soon!
