a beautiful bride, a frankenstein.
a beautiful drop of iodine.
if you were mine, if you were mine,
if you were mine.

Since Wacky has been a constant fixture of my life, I decided to blog about some of the songs/artists which have been getting massive airplay in my tiny world.

After Daniel Powter, I discovered House of Heroes, hailing from Columbus, Ohio, the band is comprised of Tim Skipper, Coling Rigsby, Jared Rigsby, and AJ Babcock. I stumbled upon them from random blog surfing, the post included a vid of their song “IF” from their recently released sophomore album, The End is Not the End. It’s a very catchy LOVE song with an upbeat tune and catchy lyrics. I realize that they can be classified as punk rock music. I’ve also been listening to the Punk Goes series and I have to blog about my experience with Punk Goes Acoustic. I have totally changed my view of punk music, I actually liked it. Despite the fact that House of Heroes has a punk edge to it, I couldn’t hide my surprise to find out that they are a faith-based band.

So I did some googling and found out that they have four songs available for download – LEGAL and FREE. You can download IF here while the other three songs, By Your Side, In the Valley of the Dying Son, and Sooner or Later can be downloaded here.

What I want to know is their album available in the sunny island state of Singapore?

If not, I guess I have to satisfy my ears with these four songs right? I posted the If video below:

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead,
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

I used to wish that I would be trapped overnight in a library, I read that happened to a girl once in one of my sister’s books. I wanted to work at the Library of Congress or maybe set up permanent residence there :) . I like reading, just as much as I like long conversations with people. Imagine what were the physiological reactions that occurred when I saw this picture of someone’s PERSONAL LIBRARY:

THIS IS A PERSONAL LIBRARY! Not only does it hold such awesome number of books but it also has the original Sputnik 1 sattelite and the chandelier from the James Bond movie Die Another Day. I wanna go on a field trip to his house…hmm, is he hiring full-time cleaners?
